As of 1 September 2010, Canadian car insurance customers living in the province of Ontario began seeing some dramatic changes in general auto insurance regulations. However, it does promise to bring some stability to insurance costs for drivers in Ontario, which has been on a bit of a roller coaster for the past few decades.

Why Reforms Were Necessary

Although medical care is guaranteed to all Canadians (and contrary to what the U.S.

September 7th, 2010

Misfuelling is one of those things that we all laugh at, unsure of how anyone can get mixed up at the petrol pumpand pump the wrong type of fuel into their cars. However, despite that, more than 400 people up and down the UK do it every single day. The problem is that driving off when it has happened to you is the worst possible thing you can do because it will ensure that the wrong fuel makes its way round your system and your performance car insurance will not cover you for it.

Home Insurance & New Policy Discounts

September 2nd, 2010

Beware the new policy discount on your home insurance! I recently had my home insurance policy renewal come through my door and was astounded to find that the contents alone had gone up by £15 a month. Now this may not seem like a lot but when you consider the total over the year, it really is. I called to find out why this amount had been added to my policy considering I had not made a claim and was told that it was because my new policy discount, which had been applied when I took out the policy as a new customer the previous year, no longer applied.

This may sound bogus and I believe that it is but it is how companies draw you in and get you to sign up.
