What Factors Are Considered When You Get an Auto Insurance Quote?
August 30th, 2010
Getting auto insurance would cost you thousands of dollars every year. The rate given will entirely depend on several factors such as the amount of coverage you would want to have. Of course you would feel more protected if you are insured with more than one insurance policy coverage however it is good to keep in mind that even in the world of car insurance, there is such a thing as “too much.”
The competition among car insurance companies are tightening thus several types of coverage will be found in the market. Some can be seen as necessity (especially if it is the one required by the state law), some are optional and some are just too much to have.

Serving Up the Machine
August 27th, 2010
Rob Tonkin is an executive producer at Marketing Factory, Inc.
Over the Memorial Day weekend I worked at the Sasquatch! Music Festival in George, Washington, performing on-site marketing work for Honda. During the event, I met the folks from Esurance. I was familiar with the company, thanks to their clever television commercials. Shortly after the festival, Marketing Factory was invited to devise some of our patented “experience marketing” — which we’ve furnished to our clients for 11 years — to assist Esurance with their on-site sponsorship of the 2010 US Open.
We repaired to our creative think tank and emerged with one idea in particular that interested everyone involved: an Esurance Rube Goldberg Machine. Full Post..

More Affordable Car Insurance for Teens
August 26th, 2010
Now that we’re heading back into the school year, it’s worth bringing up the subject of grades – and how keeping them up can result in more affordable car insurance for young people.
You’re probably aware of the fact that most insurers offer better rates on students’ auto policy premiums when they maintain a better grade point average (and this applies to college students as well), but you may not be aware of the logic behind it; there are some hard statistics behind the practice of offering good student discounts.

Road Rage
August 23rd, 2010
Driving to work this morning I witnessed some pretty severe road rage. It rememinded me that there are dangerous drivers on the road and it’s important to know what to do if you are involved in a situation with road rage.
- Don’t get involved. Let the aggressive driver pass.
- Don’t make eye contact or any gestures towards the aggressive driver. Doing so may aggrivate the driver even more.
- If the driver continues to put you or others in harmful situations call road patrol or a local police station. (Often times these numbers are posted on signs scatter along highways)
- Don’t pull over or get out of our vehicle.

Home Insurance & Travelling
August 21st, 2010
Home insurance is a fantastic product that covers all sorts of elements of life today. From bicycles to mobile phones to cash to luggage when you go on holiday, most policies cover a whole range of things that you absolutely have to have covered if you want to minimise your losses. However, this year people trying to save money have not taken out travel insurance because it has been pointed out by several money experts that some home insurance policies do cover certain items. However, you should know what home insurance does not cover you for.
Home insurance will not cover you if your flights are cancelled, if your holiday firm goes bust or your hospital bills if you get sick whilst abroad.

The Surprisingly Fascinating History of (U.S.) Car Insurance
August 19th, 2010
The world’s first car accident occurred in 1891 (arguably) and involved 2 Ohioans and a tree, but the world’s first car insurance policy wasn’t written until 1897. That means for 6 (doubtlessly crazy) years, people were driving hither and yon in their fancy new horseless carriages without a drop of coverage. Compound that with the fact that safety measures like, oh, stop signs, right-of-way, and driver training had not yet been invented, and you can begin to imagine the chaos of a world sans car insurance.
It’s not like the idea of insurance didn’t exist. As a concept, insurance had begun long, long before then. Full Post..
