Home Insurance & Travelling
August 21st, 2010
Home insurance is a fantastic product that covers all sorts of elements of life today. From bicycles to mobile phones to cash to luggage when you go on holiday, most policies cover a whole range of things that you absolutely have to have covered if you want to minimise your losses. However, this year people trying to save money have not taken out travel insurance because it has been pointed out by several money experts that some home insurance policies do cover certain items. However, you should know what home insurance does not cover you for.
Home insurance will not cover you if your flights are cancelled, if your holiday firm goes bust or your hospital bills if you get sick whilst abroad. As such, if any of these things happen to you then you will be seriously out of pocket. Home insurance only covers your belongings and not all policies will do that outside of the home so always check your policies before relying on them.
