Road Rage
August 23rd, 2010
Driving to work this morning I witnessed some pretty severe road rage. It rememinded me that there are dangerous drivers on the road and it’s important to know what to do if you are involved in a situation with road rage.
- Don’t get involved. Let the aggressive driver pass.
- Don’t make eye contact or any gestures towards the aggressive driver. Doing so may aggrivate the driver even more.
- If the driver continues to put you or others in harmful situations call road patrol or a local police station. (Often times these numbers are posted on signs scatter along highways)
- Don’t pull over or get out of our vehicle. Stopping or getting our of your vehicle makes you vulnerable to harm.
Road rage and aggressive driving is a serious problem and should taken seriously. It’s hard to know how different people will respond to any given situation. Always error on the side of caution.
