The manner in which Florida handles the pip auto insurance must be changed

June 20th, 2011

Despite the fact that there is an endless stream of TV commercials that keep bombarding Floridians about the need to pay their quarterly auto insurance premiums, there are few who actually enjoy paying them. Floridians are currently paying around $1,200 more than people elsewhere in the Southeast.

Lawmakers in Florida should find ways and means to ease the burden of paying auto insurance bills. It is necessary to come down heavily on those factors that have led to an increase in premiums.

How Traffic Violations Really Affect Your Auto Insurance Rate

June 18th, 2011

When applying for car insurance, one of the most important questions you’ll receive from the company is, “Have you had a violation in the past # of years?” For some companies, it may be five years and for others three, but no matter what, if you check “yes” next to that question, you are probably biting your nails in anticipation of what your car insurance quote will be.

Since many people don’t conduct comparison quotes to determine whether a violation has increased their rate or not, it’s hard to say whether it makes a huge difference.

Compare Motorhome Insurance Quotes

June 17th, 2011

As everyone should know by now, the only way you can be confident that you’re getting the best insurance policy is by performing thorough comparisons. Doing so will give you a better understanding of the market and what else is out there, and should hopefully save you some money at the same time. But, it shouldn’t always be taken at face value – if you want to be confident that you’ve got the best deal possible, try taking it a step further the next time you want to compare motorhome insurance.

By that, I mean pit one company against the other. You always need to start by heading online to perform comparisons and shortlist a few options, but then make sure to call each of them individually to see whether they can improve on their prices.

June 16th, 2011

Do you know of anybody that does not want to get van insurance simply because of the price? What you need to understand about all insurance is that there will be some costs involved with it and that is the reason why you need to factor these into your monthly budget. When most people get a car or a van in this case they don’t even bother factoring in the price of insurance and that is one of the biggest problems that they make in getting a vehicle. Insurance Coverage of Faulty Roofs

June 13th, 2011

In most cases, homeowners insurance policies do not cover flood damage or water damage done to your home unless you have purchased additional insurance specifically designed for it. However, one exception to the rule is a leaking roof and the damage done by it. You will have to read over the particulars of your policy to be absolutely sure it is covered, but in most cases it will be. Damage to your roof is covered under different conditions than typical flooding or backed up pipes.

If you discover that you have a leak in your roof the first thing to do is to take pictures. Get your camera and a ladder and climb up to the top of the roof and take pictures of any damage visible up there. Full Post..

Alabama House Approves Proposal for Coverage-Verification System

June 12th, 2011

Lawmakers moved one step closer Thursday to establishing an electronic database that would help government entities verify whether motorists in the state have valid Alabama auto insurance policies.

State legislators want to set up the verification system in order to more easily identify uninsured drivers and, ultimately, temper the states high rate of drivers who lack proper insurance coverage.

Alabama has been estimated to have one of the highest uninsured-motorist rates in the nation. The Insurance Research Council estimated that in 2007 about 26 percent of drivers lacked a policy.

Park Home Caravan Insurance Quotes

June 11th, 2011

If you’re looking for a holiday home to give you a much-needed break, you could well be considering the benefits of a static caravan or park home. But, there’s often some confusion between the two, with many people thinking that the names are interchangeable. In fact there are some distinct differences between each of them, and that’s always going to have an impact on the insurance implications.

A static caravan is exactly as it sounds – a caravan that doesn’t normally move once it’s been correctly positioned. It usually finds its home on a caravan site, often being used as a holiday home and rented out when you’re not personally using it. A park home, on the other hand, is slightly different.
